Perhaps it's the drifting between zones, the not-knowing-if-you're-awake-or-dreaming state that you get into approximately half an hour after popping the pill. Makes one think about stuff. And I've been lying in my bed for far too long, since yesterday. Only got up to eat or shit. Finally decided to drag myself to the comp to check mail, despite the deluge of emails not one of them was worthy of note. Sometimes I think that email is just one huge big waste of time.

Recap of the latest news...In softball, the club has been chalking up losses thanks to an untimely pull-of-the-nether-regions by our mvp. On the bright side, I finally got my jersey, slacks and cap for the cheap bargain price of five bucks, thus securing my place on the school team. School - nothing much, except skipped yesterday's. Oh, and I can't keep up with my school work. But that's hardly surprising, what with softball and now this wonderful sore throat/cough/blocked nose combi which keeps me confined in my room, alone and unwanted. Met sec 2 gang for lunch at thai exp on thursday but some came late, some left early. Nothing much. Fireworks last sunday, but not much kick, prob cos no romance factor.

Just checked F_'s combi blog. He changed the layout somewhat, now it's black backgrd with some weird fireworks thingsie at the top with a couple of anonymous shadows blocking the cam. Looks like he took it off the ST website. So much for that.

Feeling very drowsy now. Parents insist that I don't play tmr, still being sick and all that but I want to play cos A) we're playing ntu, which would be good practice for this coming saturday's game, and B) i'm afraid they may not have enough people. On the other hand, A) I don't want to risk my parent's wrath and B) I don't know if I can trust myself to drive so I'm really in a dilemma right now and my head is starting to hurt. Damn it. What a bloody bad time to be sick.

I can't decide if I'm more frustrated by the fact that I can't play softball or by the fact that I can't study, cos A) I can only study in the library, my room is too messy but B) my sis doesn't want me to study there in case I "infect" her and C) I'm too damned drowsy to argue with her anyway so D) fuck everybody, I'm going to look for another pratchett book. Just finished sourcery while shitting.

15 months and still going strong...

I wish there was some way I could upload my videos onto the net. They're in my hp now, all 7 of them. The colour isn't very clear, but the cheering and screaming in the background is. The videos are of the fireworks at marina bay, which F_ brought me to last night. Spectacular, and oh so exhilirating cos we managed to get front row seats right by the river (brings back memories of me daring him to get into the water, last yr apr 18. day of the jigsaw and first time i drove him ard...) and he had his arms around me as we watched the fireworks light up the sky. So beautiful. Our most romantic outing ever, and an experience I'll never forget. Thank you F_, for planning the surprise and making it so memorable... I love you so much :x

It was a wonderful end to an already exciting and fun day. Had a great ala carte buffet (love the oxymoron) at harbourfront, good food and good company, specifically, my rj classmates. Well, half of them, at least :P Adjourned to swensen's after that, the girls (and F_, of course) took my car and i think two of them almost fainted. HEH HEH HEH. Topless 5 was going at 1.39 and we couldn't resist the deal. Played some drinking games and F_ and I had to rush off to void ourselves soon after. Loads of fun.

But of course, the climax was yet to come :) Feel so happy just thinking about last night...Everything was just so perfect, even my softball games were cancelled on the right days!

On Saturday, went for this talk by some long-graduated med alumni...Anyway I'm glad I went cos now I'm damn scared of doing badly and I'm damn motivated to study hard. Er, maybe starting next week. This week's gonna be packed, have training on tues and friday too (I think) then games on saturday AND sunday (tentatively) plus frs pracs.

Anyway, here's a big THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU to F_, for a fantastic, romantic, fun-filled weekend. Happy monthniversary, my dear :x

Feel groggy and tired. Bad start to the day I guess. School's starting in two days' time, and I'm really dreading it. Did my schedule till late last night and it really doesn't look good, everyday is simply packed with lectures/tutorials/pracs, on top of other useless stuff like pbl, frs and hrm. The physical drudgery - waking up early (and this sem it's gonna be even earlier cos i'll be driving and I can't speed/cut lanes like Dad can) - is still nothing compared to the mental drag which is med school. The tests, the mind-boggling boredom, the lack of humour and mischievousness which characterized my rgs days (in rj it was rather reduced, but still there) make me miss my gang so, so much (different classes in rj, now different schools). Sure, I have friends. The 3k pple, WL and OL, but the one and only person whom I can share my weird thoughts and crazy jokes with is F_. They say humour is a way of escaping reality, and I never fully appreciated that till last year. F_ is the only one who is truly on the same wavelength as I am, and sometimes I suspect he feels the same way too.

I drank quite abit on monday. It was unintentional, cos I only bought two bottles of 5% alcohol vodka (vodka for children) but after consuming one bottle, went down for dinner and Dad had got steak and a bottle of wine (13%. is that standard for all red wines?) and he didn't know I had been drinking in the afternoon so he gave me an extra extra large glass of wine. I was rather thankful for that actually, cos 1) I was feeling shitty and 2) I was damn worried, so I just wanted to drink and fall into deep sleep, but strangely enough I ended up reading till 2+am (the worry and anxiety actually overrode the large amt of alc ingested) and had to wake up at 6am to give F_ a morning call for his driving test. Well, he passed it. Phew. Gave him the other bottle.

After his test we went to his house to rest, and to wait till 3pm when the sushi buffet started. Then we went over to t plaza to eat, and we ate so much we had to take a cab home so we could empty our stomachs asap.

I guess I should go and tidy up my room. Although I don't study there, and my study table in the library is actually very very neat, the sheer amount of books scattered on my room table is just horrible. Library books, half-finished home books, bank statements, letters...On top of that, all my bags are piled up in a corner, and i bet if I lifted them up I'd reveal cobwebs, dust, and maybe even a new species of ant. Will do it tonight if I'm in the mood.

Oh, and I'm supposed to read up. Was supposed to. But what with one thing and another simply never got down to doing it. This week and the next is only intros to this and that, so I guess it's not so bad. But anyway.

F_ wants to meet for gym at 2pm. I'm damn tired, but I hafta go cos 1) he'd be furious if I didn't and 2) I'm putting on weight cos we haven't worked out but we've been eating a lot of buffets and chocolates so I ought to anyway. Wdv.

Oh if I had to recommend a book for light reading, the complete robot by asimov would be it. Yeah I'm a geek. So sue me.
