One of those songs F_ loves to serenade me with :
Vincent - Don McLean
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand
(chorus)
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant
For one as beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
A silver thorn, a bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will...
Quick update:
Double knock-out league started last last sunday (july 18th) with a lucky win over pelicans (7-6), which was missing their usual pitcher due to injury. Lucky cos the umpire gave us an extra inning, thus enabling us to catch up with the very much indignant pelicans, although there wasn't really time to start a new inning. Followed that with an easy win over ntu (score not known). Last sunday played sia and won easily with an 11-3 score. Unfortuantely I haven't scored any runs so far, but I hope to remedy that when we play pelicans (yesss again) this coming sunday.
Besides softball, other activites of note include tagging along with F_ for his dinner at swensen's with his fellow tv ad eliminators last thursday. Also, Y_ is back in singapore and just passed her driving test that day. Meeting up with her for a quick lunch tmr, though I'm extremely broke right now (from buying thread at spotlight) so it'd better be either her treat, or somewhere cheap. Haha. Lastly, F_ and I are working on a secret project right now. Shall blog about it when it's finished. Hope it looks nice. F_ burnt two albums for me from vice city, really like them :)
F_ is gonna start his whole spate of driving this saturday, culminating with the Test on next tuesday. Praying hard for him to pass.
Gonna eat lunch now, then drop by the library with mom to return/borrow books, then meeting F_ at the Busstop at 3pm for work-out. Cos the lard has been pigging out on cheesecake (and I've just been plain pigging out on random foodstuffs) so we're both lardy and must go run. Later then.

Hey F_ if you're reading this post something!!!
I've been having an unabashedly good time since the last time I blogged. On Saturday my rJ gang came over for some mahjong/bridge and we watched a vcd, but the highlight was what happened after they'd gone home, cos I met up with F_ and we had a frigging good time! It was our monthniversary and both of us had (coincidentally if I might add) decided to dress to the nines. F_ wore his prom outfit (minus the tie & mom's jacket) and looked absolutely dashing. We were supposed to watch a movie, but ended up cuddling instead, lost in each other's arms and just feeling so loved and so happy and so wonderful...
Sunday had training (finally!) which was rather slack, but just as well cos I was feeling rather tired from the late night. Met F_ at j8 (it was pouring), walked there with one of my teammates who is like the female version of Dad right down to the surname, and who lives one street away from F_. Heh heh. Told her about the closing down sale cos she liked my bag and in the end she got the same bag, but in F_'s colour. After lunch, we headed over to suntec for some yoghurt, then went to browse around at the hypermart. F_ was rather excited by this strange flying toy, which a saleswoman was demostrating, up till the point when it came flying over towards our faces so we went off and walked right into a damn good bra promotion. Bought three of em, one of them has this weird springy contraption, F_ claims it's to push up my boobs but I don't think so, I think it's just the design of it (err cos it doesn't seem to have much effect). Anyway. The queue was insanely long tho, so F_ had to hurry off to queue at the church while I queued to pay for the bras. Looks like everybody and their mothers goes there for family outing on sundays. Heh. Our usual pastor was overseas, so we had a stand-in who was admittedly rather long-winded, but it was the praise and worship that really lifted up my spirits. F_ was rather tired so after that I went to join family for dinner at lei garden while he went home. An interesting day indeed.
Monday F_ felt like reading up more physics so after picking him up we headed for amk lib, which despite its size and popularity is surprisingly quiet, and thus (to me at least) rather conducive for studying. Had a nice leisurely day there, just the perfect day to laze around with a good book and a good companion cos it was raining dogs and cats outside. Unfortunately F_ lost his retainers over lunch (wrapped it up in tissue and never unwrapped them again) and despite getting one of the cafe people to riffle through the garbage we simply couldn't get it back. Thankfully F_ has another 2 sets (progressive retainers, see) so it wasn't so bad. Went home in the evening so that momo could send F_ back too, then F_ and I played some wc. YESSSsss his wc finally works again! Hurrah!
Tuesday we were supposed to work out, but didn't. Anyway to cut a long story short we ended up in queenstown lib, where we had lunch. Their chocolate truffle cake is simply delicious...I'm hooked. F_ got a book that he wanted (yay!) and we had a nice meal so I guess that kind of made up for the bad start to the day. Went home around the same time as monday, and ended up playing dota with F_ when we got back. Loads of fun, though the first few games I kept getting scolded by my teammates, cos i wasn't familiar with the new 5.57 version, and kept picking really lousy heroes. But the last game we played was fun (cos we finally got to be on the same team, and we WON). Wonder if F_ will play with me later. Haha. Prob not cos both of us are rather shacked.
Yup today we had a double work-out session! Crazy right. Ran 3+2 k today (without deep heat!! what an achievement) and did about 200 abs. But I just ate practically the whole bowl of veges at dinner, hope that doesn't negate the effect...In between we went over to nus where i got my season parking, and F_ went to look up sthg abt the circle of willis and its history. He photocopied a mere one page from a journal, so I and he left with a piece of plastic and a piece of paper respectively. Ok whatever. Was feeling very tired, so after our business at nus was concluded, went to his place to take a nap, before resuming work-out. Oh well just got an email from E_, she's thinking of a short overseas trip..It'd be a great chance for F_ and I to go on a trip together, but the proposed date clashes with his driving revision lessons and test, so...we'll see. She's thinking of going to some places with beaches..like phuket or langkawi or sthg...Shall go and talk to F_ about it.

This week has been...strange to say the least. But also immensely fun. Monday F_ brought his digicam and we took pics - face shots and full length shots. Wore my black tube and jeans, and he loaned me a pair of sunglasses. Pics on left. I'm not a very good model, was rather stiff and can't do any much poses except to smile and to pout. F_, on the other hand, is the master of facial expressions, and he had to teach me how to look sultry, etc. Rather amusing, on hindsight (see now we know who poses in front of the mirror every morning) but was actually quite tiring on monday itself. However, we went off happy and satisfied and dropped the film off on the way home.
Collected the pics on tuesday morning, then went for an intense work-out session, with emphasis on abs and pecs. Just discovered the existence of my pecs. After that F_ had to rush off to attend his aunt's award ceremony so I went home to sleep, though it was more like doze, sms, doze, sms cos F_ was really bored during the ceremony and although i was shacked from the workout, I felt bad leaving him in a rut so forced myself to wake up everytime my phone vibrated. After his ceremony F_ surprised me by asking me to meet him at newton, and we went over to orchard where he got 2 of my photos blown up to 8R. Put them in the plastic frames and they're standing proudly on my hi-fi now :) He wants to laminate his and stick it on the walls. SOoooo sweet. Seriously. Never imagined that anybody would ever want me as their poster girl. I think if I gave my sibs laminated photos of myself they'd either use it as a food mat or a fly-swatter. But I digress. While waiting for the photos to develop we went to walk around centrept for kicks, then had mos (ichigo bliss! ichigo bliss!) I think F_ and I have changed allegiance from macs to mos. Mos may have smaller burgers but they're taste so good (unagi burger! unagi burger!) plus the strawberries are really a treat. Oh, and of course, there's also supersize me...
Wednesday we didn't meet up, actually I can't even remember why. Probably cos F_ was tired or something. Anyway the muscle ache was killer, so just as well, I suppose. Spent the day sleeping and surfing the net, simply because both activities require the least amount of movement (and hence the least amount of wincing). Strangely enough, as the week progressed, despite the torture regiment of sit-ups, bench presses and running (hitting 3+1 k now) the muscle aches seem to disappear. Probably cos my body is adapting. More likely cos I got mom to buy a tube of deep heat for me, and for the past 2 sessions been smearing deep heat all over my body, to F_'s eternal disgust. But it's a real life-saver, and the reason why I can keep going like I do. Strangely enough, despite the more intense working out and the smaller meals, I seem to have regained some weight- from 48 to 49+, it's really very weird. I can only hope and pray that it's muscles. Oh crap I sound like such a self-absorbed, body-obsessing gym rat. Should stop rattling on about exercise. Oh, one last thing. exercise seems to have given me a new boost of energy. Despite being unable to sleep on wednesday night, somehow or other still managed to stay out on thursday. Had diarrhea in wee hours of the morning yesterday and managed to stay out too. Weird, but good.
Thursday was another intense gym session, but I was supposed to meet L_ at raffles city for lunch so had to go off at noon. Actually F_ was supposed to go home after that, to prepare for his PhO, but he changed his mind and decided to study at queenstown instead, much to my delight (yay! F_!) so after a short lunch (L_ had work) and some chit-chat, rushed over to queenstown to bum with F_. F_ is such a wonderful person to hang with that even being in a frigging library with him is an experience. But he's just lovely like that :) Considering the fact that we meet up pretty regularly, we always find new things to see and to do, and, I think most importantly, new things to talk about. We ain't the dining dead, for sure. Just hope that things will always be this way, that we'll always be interested in each other, and enjoy each other's company. But honestly, F_ is such an interesting, colourful character that I won't ever find him boring, I just hope he doesn't find me boring. Heh.
Friday, his PhO was cancelled. Felt rather disappointed for him, cos he'd told me that he was looking forward to it, but was really happy when he told me over a nice, value-for-money jap buffet lunch that the lunch had more than made up for it. That was at thompson plaza, as he put it, "a place we've never been to before as a couple". Hopped over to j8 after to check out the deuter sale, got a damn nice bag for myself, same design as F_'s but it's dark green (his is bright blue, the same shade as his bigger backpack, and mine is the same colour as my reebok backpack. Are we boring shits or what??) It was marked down to 25 from 60, so damn worth it. Very happy with my purchase. Also got a bag for pok, but the twit is going back to change it tmr cos he says that it's nice but his friends already have the bag and that it's common. Bah. I thought the colour was rather unique. But then again, the last time he wanted to buy shoes I recommended a pair to him and he didn't like it either, so I guess our taste is just too different to shop for each other. Bah. Bah. Bah. But whatever, I'm so pleased with my new bag! Many thanks to F_ for telling me about the sale and bringing me there :)
Just checked my mail, seems like there's a class outing coming up. They're trying to make it next weekend tho (17 or 18 july), which is terrible, cos there're games on both days! First up pelicans on saturday, 5pm (3.30 warmup) then on sunday if we lose to them, we play at 9am, and work our way up slowly (max of 3 games) and if we win, then it's 3pm game. Anyhow, I don't think i can make the outing unless it's a dinner or sthg. Argh and I just remembered! M_ was thinking of meeting up on that sunday for dinner! Dunno if it's confirmed or whether it was just a lark. Anyway if both are dinners on sunday i really wouldn't know what to do...But i'll prob go for the class one, cos F_ will prob want to go for that one, plus I haven't met a lot of my classmates recently (who aren't from med fac), while I just met the gang last sunday. Oh well. Will see what the class decides, then take it from there.
Should go and sleep now, tentatively meeting F_ at 10am tmr for workout before heading back home cos X_, G_, SY, HY(?) are coming over at 1.30pm. Hmmm since dropping him off at 5.30 just now haven't heard from him. He must be very tired. ZZzzzzz..

Gang came over today, S2 and XY FOR THE FIRST TIME. oh my goodness i've been trying to get them to come over since sec 1, and they just never did. Actually, my entire gang was in the same class from sec 1 to 4, except for HMY, who joined us in sec3. Had to drive quite a bit today, but just short trips. First to pick up S2 and XY from hc busstop, then dropping them + M_ at the busstop opposite (longer trip), and finally picking up WS from the same busstop. Thankfully kor was going out and offered to give her a ride out, was so tired just from the driving alone, cos I haven't driven for such a long time so it was rather stressful, like picking them up from outside hc is a very short journey, but i hafta make a three-point turn there, and it's quite dangerous. At least it was sunday and there weren't too many cars. Anyway, thank God nothing bad happened.
In the end only the three of them turned up, but that was enough for some bridge/mahjong/table soccer/chit-chat. Fun and good, but I really do wish the other 2 had turned up...But anyway they're thinking of meeting up again before the uk pple go back so that's alright i guess. Just hope it doesn't clash with my softball games. WS had to bring her rabbit to the vet so she only arrived after the rest had gone home, but I managed to rope in kor and sis to play some mahjong. Haha, was very jinxed when playing with the other 3 (probably cos of S2, the evil woman!) when playing bridge whoever was my partner lost, and during mahjong didn't win even once, despite XY being a noob she managed to win one game. But when I played with kor, cons and WS, kept winning. Strange huh? If I believed in fengshui I'd say it was because I sat at a different side of the table. Heh. But I suspect it's got to do with the fact that we were playing money mahjong, while with the first 3 we were just playing so-called "luck" mahjong, which isn't very fun to me now that I know the rudimentaries of how to shuan tai. After dinner (pizza) WS and I went to play some pool...Winning rate was pretty even. Had one of our usual conversations about everything and nothing. Reminds me of our secondary school days when we used to call each other up and talk cock and laugh like mad women. She heard my dogs growling as they were mock-fighting with each other and thought it was a washing machine. Haha.
Pretty tired now, would like to sleep, but there's cup finals tonight!! Wanna watch...Plus kor's friends are coming over and will probably be damn noisy and wake me up anyway...Also F_ will be watching..His icq is screwed up now tho so can't chat with him online...Sigh..sis just went to sleep, so I guess she won't be watching with me either...Hmm it's been a long day and I was awoken pretty early by the dogs barking...Maybe I'll just go sleep now. Tmr's gonna be a very busy day. Meeting F_ at the library at 11am, then going to workout, and also take photos. Should be loads of fun! Hope all goes well. Really miss him, haven't seen him for so many days...I love him a lot. Wonder if he misses me as badly as I miss him...Probably not, cos I miss him so bad I can't sleep at night! Keep thinking about him...Argh...But anyway I'll see him tmr so that's fantastic, and I'm really looking forward to it...Just the thought of seeing him is making me happy :) Maybe I'll be able to sleep well tonight, and have sweet dreams too, as an added bonus. oh yeah, but that's provided I don't watch soccer. HMMMmmmm...

Announcement : We have a new blogger on board and his name is Manfred. I am not schizo.
It's been a memorable one week. Here's it in short :
Monday : met F_ for workout session, and then some.
Tuesday : parents leave for china/hk. stone ard at home entire day as F_ puts the finishing touches to his room.
Wednesday : Visit F_'s house first thing in the morning to admire the new layout, it's the nicest, cosiest layout so far. Previously his bed was sticking into the middle of the room, which A)made it stick out like a sore thumb despite it being a bed B)divided the room into two and made it look less spacious and more cluttered and C)must have made it hell for F_ to walk ard his room. Layout aside, he put up his tower of babel jigsaw above his study table, very tasteful.Plus some posters like his phys o one. Also, he put up our photos in a nice place under his window, it's really sweet cos you see it first thing u walk into the room. F_ is just so sweet like that :) After that, we ate rice burgers at mos and also had 9 frozen strawberries (mmmmmmmmmm) before going over to the gym to work off all that condensed milk. After a leisurely swim (the weather was just perfect) rushed off to pick up sis from malay, dropping off F_ on the way. Before he got off he sneaked a card into my wallet (being my usual self I only discovered it half an hour later, and solely by chance) which as an apology for ignoring me and making me feel like crap the past few weeks, cos of, as he puts it "the renovation work and the phone business". Felt so happy, immediately called him, he was waiting at j8. And I thought it was such a fantastic day it couldn't get any better, but he proved me wrong! So happy so happy so happy. My first love letter too, to think of it :) Rushed off to sicc to babysit my two brothers while they have a haircut, then went back to j8 to watch spi2 with F_, an enjoyable show and a great way to round off a truly happy and enjoyable day.
Thank you my lovely darling!
Thursday : After a sleepless night, was bummed out of the house at 9am for fogging. Went to queenstown lib but it was still closed, so went to borders instead and was amazed by the number of people who were there on a weekday morning. Guess they must have been fogging their houses too. Anyway felt very lonely and depressed so took mrt and walked over to F_'s house, and he made me breakfast, which consisted of 2 cheese sandwiches (woe! the last of the bread..) and ice milo. All the more delicious because they were made by his tender loving hands! Did I mention? F_ is the sweetest! He really makes me feel so loved. That really turned the day from a potentially shitty, lonely one to a happy one full of bright prospects. Even better, he agreed to go to bible study with me that night. I walked back to the mrt with a foolish, happy grin on my face and took the train back to orc. By then, orc library was open and I was lucky to find an empty table next to the cafe- the lib was already crowded despite it being only 12pm, and the other tables were all taken. Praise God. After dumping my heavy bag, went to browse through the shelves and came back satisfied, with all the books I had been looking for (except new pratchetts). Spent the rest of the afternoon reading horror stories (lovecraft), finally decided the library was too cold and went to take a walk along orc road, then took mrt over to city hall where i got the S2 ost for F_(yay!) and went window shopping. Actually found roller blades going for 29.90 at the supermarket, and rather nice ones at that. Was so busy browsing around that I almost forgot to go queue up. F_'s timely sms remedied that. Had a great time praising the Lord and listening to His Word, really miss going to church...I think praising God really really makes me happy, I feel as if the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders- pure joy. I think the only other thing comparable to that on my happiness scale is being with F_. But I'm sure everybody knew that already :)
After bible study, went with F_ to buy some chips and drinks, then took mrt(again! haha) with him to newton, where he saw me safely to a cab, then rushed off to his friend's place to watch soccer. Another enjoyable, fun day (except the bits when I was by myself, but I dun like being alone, see) with the bestest companion in the world.
Friday : Day didn't start off very well, but got better in the afternoon. Didn't do anything much today, was mostly lounging around A) reading Bible B) reading douglas adams C)surfing internet D)talking to F_ and mary on icq. Oh yes, and after dinner, a few rounds of pool with sis, who challenged me to it :) Haha does my life seem boring? oh well I don't really care what people think anyway cos I'm enjoying it! Heh :)
Ok it's getting late, and I'm getting sleepy. Tmr (or should I say today?) E is having an advance birthday celeb, she'll be bringing the two twits to watch spi2 in the morning (haha I'm not invited...cos she kindda assumed i wouldn't want to watch it twice and went to book 3 tix...but it's alright cos i'll prob sleep in anyways) then i'll meet up with them in orc TR for lunch. Bro has to go to school by 2pm so I'll be back by 1+, was thinking of meeting up with F_ after. Whole 10 yards is out, and i wanna watch, but hmm..I think he ain't too keen on watching it, so it's ok. Was also thinking of going down to his place to do some throws with him, if he doesn't mind. Haven't thrown for so darned long, and I suspect there might be training this sunday (season starts july 18! there better be!) plus maybe i'll drive down. haven't driven for very long too, so it'd be a good idea to practise, cos if there's training on sunday then i'll definitely have to drive there myself. Oh but kor is going sentosa tmr and might want to use it (same reason for wanting to drive it to work) so we'll see. Anyways I know how to take bus to his house and how to get home myself so it's no problem. I like being independent :)
All in all...it's been a fun, exciting and enjoyable week. And most importantly, F_ was just so wonderful to me!!! The card, breakfast, going to church with me...I think I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend. I certainly don't know how I managed to find this one :P but, as I've said countless times before I'm sure, F_ is the sweetest! I love him so...
