MED POSTING OFFICIALLY OVER

A
ll hail the end of med posting! Now on to surgery! Excited. Very excited. Passed the practical side of the exam on thursday, had liver ca and CN6,8 palsy for short cases, DM long case. Did well on long case, short cases weren't too good but she still passed me. My tester's from onc, very nice. F_ passed too, on wednesday, albeit with more trouble. Had to do 2 long 3 short in total!! I was waiting in the library and staining my pants (heavy flow, lah) and wondering why he wasn't back after more than 3 hours. Turns out his original long case, 20 min into clerking, had to go take an urgent crap and left F_ stranded there crapping in his own pants too, and in the end his tutor made him clerk the guy next to him (see that's what happens when u sit around looking bored, u get arrowed by desperate testers). And his tester has this weird thing about doing 3 short cases and taking the best 2. I guess it's good tho, probably bolsters your marks. F_ had this tachycardic guy but managed to pick up his ESM, which is a very good job if I may say so, some dude with a UMNL, and another one which I can't remember. His long case was some weird palmar plantar thingsie that u get from chemo, which obviously we've never heard of. But I suppose his tester knows that too so he was probably more lenient for it.

Anyway, we both passed!!! Did the mcq test yesterday afternoon, mostly past year questions, just praying hard that I passed that one too, it'll be so sad if i hafta do reposting just cos i din do enough past year mcqs!! That'll be so retarded. F_ found it a breeze, as usual. Good for him.

Didn't really feel like end of posting till just now, when I came back from a debrief at the hospital. Was just some dumb feedback thing, didn't even have a form or anything, just the woman writing on the whiteboard about stuff we didn't like "for the sake of our juniors" as she put it. Went there primarily to submit F_ and my logbooks, after hurriedly dropping him off at his doorstep so he could relieve his diarrhea. While she was busy getting feedback I was rather blatantly transferring the logs, but anyway we had to submit it to her after that so... Didn't join them for lunch, felt rather lonely without F_. After calling him (got d/ced in the lift) to ask if he wanted me to da pao lunch, went to kopitiam to dao pau my own lunch cos I was soo darn hungry, hadn't had time to eat at all the whole day, was just rushing to school to pick up my training logs, collate them with the rest of the group, then rushing home to pick up poor F_, who had been on the toilet bowl the whole time, dropping him and his stuff off at his house (including his pda, which they actually delivered 3 days ago but I didn't realize that was it) , grabbing his log book from him and then rushing to the hospital, arrived 10 minutes late only amazingly enough. Was driving rather fast. Now finally home and bathed and with this salon pas stuck on my left calcaneal tendon.

Well, an interesting bit of news is that although all 24 of us from this hospital are going together to the next hospital, however, they'll be splitting us into 4 groups of 6 people each , so probably the two girls whose surnames are in front will join another group. They were talking about choosing another leader, T_ asked S and C whether they wanted but they said no, I said if they don't want I don't mind, cos I really don't, but I think they weren't too keen on it, but it's up to them, to me it's not important at all. I'm just happy to be with F_. Hope his diarhhea clears up soon.

Going to take a nap now. Really exhausted!
