Damn tired. Black female gave us a BIG scare last night, kept crying non-stop and looked really in pain, so despite the fact that we were watching the manu-real madrid replay which had an amazing 7 goals in total, dad and I brought her to the vet. Woah. Never seen my dad drive so fast before. He was doing 110 on a 50kmh road. Anyways apparently the pup had been overfed (it was really really bloated and inactive at about 4.30pm, the maid had fed her at 3pm cos mom and I had gone out), and the vet purged its stomach by inserting this narrow tube into it, and the amount of milk that came out was quite scary. However, it didn't stop crying so the vet took a listen on the stethoscope and found that milk had entered its lungs. She said that antibiotics had to be administered or it would get terminal pneumonia, but as the pup's liver and kidneys had not been fully developed yet, antibiotics might cause kidney failure, but it wasn't much of a choice. We decided to hospitalize it (despite the exorbitant charges) as the hospital could keep it in an oxygen chamber so she could breathe better (?) By the time we reached home it was almost midnight. After a night of anxiety (we really thought she wouldn't make it, sis was crying very badly cos it reminded her of our chihuahua which died last year after getting bitten by our neighbour's savage dogs) the vet rang us this morning to tell us that she was fine and we could bring her home! *phew* So after breakfast we went there and she was sleeping peacefully, don't know if they sedated her or if she was just too tired, but at least she wasn't crying anymore. Now she's by herself in a little shoebox (in case her active brother tramples on her) and I think she's fine cos when I stroke her ears she'll move them, but I hope she'll be back to her usual active whiny self soon. Oh we also collected the 8 jigsaws that we had sent for framing en mass (5 cats, 2 horses, 1 sunflower) and now deciding which ones to put in whose rooms. I originally wanted all the horse ones (cos I love horses, duh) but mom wants to put the cat ones in my room instead, though I think kor's room would be better cos he loves cats, maybe the area beside his giant watch, behind the opium bed? Kor : Comments, please? Oh yargh on the way home from the vet parents and I were joking about what names to give the two pups. I've already decided on the name of the brown male but I won't reveal it till we're sure it will survive, otherwise it'll be too sad. Mom decided on the black female's name, but likewise, all shall be revealed at the proper time...
