Ah. I'm soo pleased. Went shopping with one of my sec school gang members, B__. Somehow or other, going out with her always ends up in bankruptcy and new clothes. I love going out with B cos we have similar taste in food and clothes, we are no-frills girls, always avoid the frilly gross stuff like the plague. No uncomfortable situations of having to say "yeah, not bad, kind of suits you" when you're cringing inside. Initially felt rather guilty after blowing 50 bucks on a black top, a white skirt (she got the same one) and a bracelet but after trying on the lot at home, it's fantastic! Yay. Happy. Marche's and Yami Yoghurt totally emptied my wallet. (Where have all the Yami Yoghurts gone? Long time passing...) Life is GOOD. Driving lessons are taking their toll though, booked the 8.35am ones from Mon to Fri this week, to practise driving in a stupor, cos Sat's test will be at 9.15am. Falling asleep at the wheel will more likely get me an immediate failure rather than impress the tester with my amazing turn-steering-wheel-with-my-forehead-manoeuvre. Instructor complained that "changing lanes ah, check mirror don't check too long ah, otherwise go into the longkang oredi" after tugging at my steering wheel along bt. batok road (speed limit 70kmh). Parallel parking improving. I REALLY REALLY wanna pass on saturday, otherwise it's a long wait till end-June for a retest. Can't wait that long for my license. Must pass. Must pass. In other news, attended some "Study Medicine in Australia" talk yesterday, ended up swiping application forms for all the accredited unis except U of Tasmania (overseas quota filled, nothing to do with the Tasmanian Devils...*grin*) So today will be another round of filling up dumbass forms and photostating copies of "I took part in OBS so I have leadership qualities" certs. And, And, and, my mom finished the cat jigsaw!!! I'm so glad. It's such a dumbass puzzle, thought it was cute when I bought it, but it turned out to be a whole lot of gray background and brown fur, total hell to fix. She actually offered to finish it up for me just so I could start on that new arty jigsaw for my friend...Isn't she sweet? I love Mom. Now on to some scenary piece, 1000-pc cottage, typical country scene with ducks and flowers. Real pretty. WOW just discovered (after searching for my name on Google) that there are actually other people with the same first name as I do!!! *hint: my first name was horribly mispelled by my dad who didn't know any better* So that brings the total count of well-meaning-but-ignorant-dads to...um... three? Enough people for us to form an exclusive club with chairman, vice-chair and member. Actually, the lack of an 'e' kind of suits my nature (straightfoward). Though I can't help thinking about the fact that for many names such as "Justine", the lack of "e", i.e. "Justin", denotes the male version. Rather upsetting. Perhaps I DO have a male name. Ah heck, stupid french names...
